Cookies are information that is transferred from our web server or third party web servers to your web browser and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other types of information storage. We use "session cookies", which are only stored for the duration of the current visit to our online presence. A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. In addition, a cookie contains information about its origin and the storage period. These cookies cannot store any other data. Session cookies are deleted when you have finished using our online services and, for example, log out or close the browser. Our legitimate interest in the use of cookies in accordance with Art 6 Paragraph 1 S. 1 f) DSGVO is to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Stored cookies can be deleted in the system settings of your browser. The exclusion of cookies can lead to functional restrictions of this online offer.

8. Integration of third party services and content
We set within our online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. optimization of our online offer in terms of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) content or service offers from third parties in order to integrate their content and services, e.g. videos.

This always presupposes that the third party providers of these contents are aware of the IP address of the users, as without the IP address they would not be able to send the contents to their browsers. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavour to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only to deliver the content. Third party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. Pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and may contain, among other things, technical information on the browser and operating system, referring web pages, visiting time and other details on the use of our online offer, as well as being able to be linked to such information from other sources.

The following presentation offers an overview of third party providers and their contents, together with links to their data protection declarations, which contain further information on the processing of data and, in some cases already mentioned here, the possibility to object (so-called opt-out):

Matomo collects and stores the following data: the type and version of browser you use, the operating system you use, your country of origin, date and time of the server request, the number of visits, your time spent on the website and the external links you have activated. Your IP address is anonymised before it is saved. The legal basis for the use of Matomo is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DS-GVO.

Matomo uses cookies, which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of our online offer. Pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data. The cookies have a storage period of one week. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is only stored on our server and is not passed on to third parties. You can object to the anonymous data collection by the Matomo program at any time with effect for the future by clicking on the link below. In this case a so-called opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, which has the consequence that Matomo does not collect any session data any more. However, if you delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted and you will have to reenter it again. We are pleased about your interest in our website and in CIO Bonn. This data protection declaration explains the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offering and the associated websites, functions and content in accordance with the German Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO). 10. Data security
We use the common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure within the website visit in connection with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. As a rule, this is a 256 bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is being transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser. We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
